Be it through his encounters with the NY skate community or his fashion images for Nike, Cameron remains devoted to creating and capturing pure moments of affinity: between his subjects, their passions and his lens.
He sees a world on the cusp of adulthood: self-aware and determined, yet playful and provocative.
Growing up in suburban Australia, a teenager in the nineties, Cameron found his escape within the well-worn pages of Interview Magazine & The Face.
Inspired, he would shoot countless stills and endless hours of videotape of his friends in the fringe club scene. This series earned him a place to study photography at London College of Printing, and led him to make the East London’s fashion scene his 00’s home.
Now in New York’s East Village, Cameron continues producing personal & editorial work focused around youth & community, regularly publishing in Dsection, Rollacoaster and Hunger Magazine.
His positive & polished interpretation of street culture has brought collaborations with brands including Nike, H&M and Urban Outfitters.
As Photography evolves, both the format and the platforms, so does Cameron’s passion and his work – delighting in large-scale print and low-res 3D GIFS alike.
Cameron has had solo exhibitions in London’s Kings Cross and group shows across UK & Australia. His enthusiasm for photography has led him lecture at schools and lead workshops with the next generation of photographers.
Working between New York & London Cameron is continuing work on a documentary series focused on the passage to adulthood, and his book on NY fashion tribes.
